Tribe Wodaabe

These people are Fulani. Those who live in Niger call themselves Wodaabe. Others call them Bororo, although they consider that pejorative.

Multiple bottle amulet

Niger - Wodaabe

This is an intriguing variety of amulet. No two I have seen are ever the same. The bottles appear to have contained something but if they ever did I have not been able to determine what it was. When I have found these for sale they have always been empty. It is not uncommon that someone selling an item of spiritual value would remove the essential element of its spirituality.
