These cowrie shells are large, measuring between 3/4" to 1 1/8"; most measure right around 1" long +/- 1/8". This bag of shells weighs 10 kg (22 lbs.) We do not count the shells nor do we guarantee the number of shells each bag contains. We know, however, that every bag contains around 5,000 shells (5 cents each). We do sell shells in smaller quantities, as follows: 1000 shells = $75 (7 1/2 cents each)
500 shells = $50 (10 cents each)
100 shells = $12 (12 cents each)
