There are 4 general size categories of these baskets: XL ($175.), large ($125.), medium ($75.) and small ($45.). Since these are all individually made by hand there is a variety of exact sizes within each size category. Click on the photo for a view of other sizes. These baskets are still commonly in use among the Bozo of northern Mali, primarily for the storage and display in markets of agricultural products, i.e., onions, etc. They are also available with a reinforcing framework, as below.
